Back Off

A project about teaching people to leave animals be. A movement sensor detects how close you are; the closer you get, the more the animal suffers.

Arachxiety

Little artschool project. For performance art class, we had to stare in strangers eyes, and I thought that was quite uncomfortable. I saw the eyes as a freaky object after awhile, instead of reading their soul. This spider I made and photographed is a reflection of my experience. The spider is inspired by the work of Mister Finch



Two Face
Two Face is a character that represents me, my thoughts, my soul.
I’ve always liked the idea of having a character representing a certain emotion, or your inner you. Sort of like a spirit animal. I’ve had multiple characters that represented the inner me, but I’ve never found the right one that could represent the dark ánd light within me.
I’m not two-faced, not more than a gemini would be, but I’m often ambivalent and torn between emotions. I’m optimistic but also pessimistic. I own my weaknesses as much as I hate them. I fear and love the same. There’s control but also no control.
